Dear Body, Work on A Better You

Dear Body, Work on A Better You

Looking at all angles closely, from everyday news of Covid-19 cases to seeing posts shared by other people’s experience facing the deadly disease on social media, and watching videos, reading articles of the effect of the ongoing pandemic on our economic status to a large degree, and receiving messages from friends, relatives, and your family being affected in all aspects- financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, you name it.  It pretty much hits us hard and reveals some truths we are taking for granted.

There’s a saying that goes “There are things we can’t control and there are things we can.” What are the things we can’t? The occurrence of pandemics, natural disasters, and so on. What are the things we can control? Our well-being, health, choices to stay safe, and so on.

The thing is, no matter how we look at it Covid-19 is still present as a threat to you and your loved ones. Going outside is risky and you run the risk of catching it and spreading it to other people. This is our current situation, awful as it may be. But what can you do? Does it mean you can’t live a better life? Absolutely not! Knowing and being aware of what you can do allows you to look at things with an open mind to learn and educate yourself. It’s about embracing the respect, love, and safety of your body in ways you can contribute.
