Approach S72 FAQs
Quick answers on price, fit, battery, and membership before you choose your Approach S72.
The Garmin Approach S72 is PHP 52,990.00 for the 43mm and PHP 52,990.00 for the 47mm. You can buy the Approach S72 in the Philippines through Kinetic PH, the official Garmin distributor, online or at Garmin retail stores. Both sizes come in several colorways, so you can shop the Approach S72 and pick the size and color that suit your game.
Choose 43mm for a smaller, lighter fit: 41 g with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display. Choose 47mm for a larger 1.4-inch display, 48 g weight, and the longest battery life. Both weights include the band. Battery runs up to 10 days on the 43mm and up to 16 days on the 47mm in smartwatch mode.
In golf GPS mode, the Approach S72 lasts up to 20 hrs on the 47mm and up to 15 hrs on the 43mm. That covers more than one full round on a single charge. Battery life drops faster with the always-on display, higher brightness, music playback, calls through the speaker, and frequent flashlight use, so adjust those settings for longer days on the course.
No. The Approach S72 works on its own once you’re on the course. Preloaded course maps, yardages, PlaysLike Distance, and shot tracking all run on the watch. You’ll need a paired phone for calls, notifications, live wind data for Virtual Caddie, and syncing your rounds to the Garmin Golf app afterward.
Green contours, Green Reading, full-course aerial imagery, and putting analysis need an active Garmin Golf membership. Everything else works without one, including course yardages, PlaysLike Distance, Virtual Caddie, on-wrist swing metrics, and shot tracking with round stats. Green Reading is available on select courses only.
Yes. The Approach S72 comes with 43,000+ courses worldwide, and Garmin’s course database lists more than 100 course layouts across the country. Before you use the Approach S72 in the Philippines on a new course, search for it in the Garmin Golf course finder to confirm it’s mapped and check if green contours are available.
Yes. The Approach S72 has a 5 ATM water rating, so rain showers and sweat are part of the plan. After a wet round, rinse the watch with fresh water, wipe it dry, and let the ComfortFit fabric band air-dry before you charge it.
Yes. Garmin Pay works in the Philippines with supported cards from GoTyme Bank and EastWest Bank. Add your card through the Garmin Connect app, then tap your wrist at any contactless payment terminal that accepts your card. Read our Garmin Pay setup guide for the full step-by-step process.
The Approach S72 comes with a 2-year local warranty when you buy it through Kinetic PH, the official Garmin distributor. Repairs and service claims are handled at Kinetic service centers, so keep your proof of purchase
The Approach S72 vs S70 comes down to four headline upgrades. The S72 adds a built-in speaker and mic for calls, on-wrist swing metrics for hand speed, backswing length and wrist rotation, Green Reading with slope percentage and break direction, and an LED flashlight with red-light mode. It also moves to a titanium bezel and sapphire lens.
